Farm-to-table dining

You will enjoy meals sourced directly from the farm and the village market, ensuring a genuine farm-to-table experience. Our talented chef uses the abundance and diversity of fresh local vegetables, fruits, nuts, and herbs as well as our own milk and eggs to prepare delicious and healthy meals. Choose from a selection of local and international beers at our bar.


A variety of lodging choices  

Ishobe can accommodate up to 15 guests in private rooms, as well as an additional 15 tent campers. All buildings have been constructed by men and women from the surrounding community and the furniture is made on premises from reclaimed wood. Modern bathrooms and satellite internet ensure complete comfort.

  Premium cabins   

Our premium cabins offer traditional craftsmanship with modern comfort while keeping you connected to nature. Thick stone walls keep the room cool and quiet. A large glass door opens to the view of the farm and valley below. You’ll want to stay a little longer in bed each morning to breathe in the sweet fragrance of the flowering trees and let the singing of the birds wake you up.   

Impano  

Impano means “gift.”  It is a stand-alone cabin with a double bed and private bathroom. Ishobe 

Ishobe is an ancient pattern derived from the Kinyarwanda verb “gushoberwa,” which means to experience the possibility of overcoming difficult situations. It is a stand-alone cabin with two twin beds and a private bathroom. Inka and Insina  

The Inka, meaning “cow,” and Insina, meaning “banana,” rooms are housed in one cabin. Each has a private entrance, private bathroom, and a double bed, accommodating two people each. These are ideal for families or groups that want to be close by each other.

Ifundi and Isinde  

The Ifundi, “small bird,” and Isinde, “traditional cow keeper rain protection,” rooms are housed in one cabin. Each has a private entrance, private bathroom, and a double bed, accommodating two people. These are ideal for families or groups that want to be close by each other.

 Single rooms 

Our three rooms on the second floor above the dining building provide breathtaking valley views from a wraparound balcony. On clear days, you can even catch a glimpse of the majestic Muhabura Volcano. Wake up to nature’s beauty and perhaps enjoy some guided yoga right on your private terrace. 

Whether you are traveling solo or with friends you’ll find these rooms inspire creativity while allowing you to unwind and relax in comfort. The three rooms share a bathroom.
